Villa Michalis Kokkari

Welcome to Villa Michalis in Kokkari! Nestled in a green oasis of olive and lemon trees, our traditional Greek-style guesthouse offers a warm and inviting retreat. Located in Kokkari, one of the most picturesque villages of Samos, we are just a 5-minute walk from the stunning turquoise beaches and vibrant promenades, where charming tavernas serve delectable Greek cuisine paired with a glass of local wine.

Though our villa is peacefully surrounded by green fields, it remains conveniently accessible: only 25 km from Samos airport and 10 km from Vathi port, ensuring your travel arrangements are smooth and easy.

Our Home & Garden

Our charming guesthouse offers individually designed rooms and apartments, where each detail helps make your stay even more comfortable. Find yourself in a space of beautiful colors, natural materials, and art, inspired by the love and beauty of places around the world. The lush garden, adorned with white marble statues and refreshing fountains, invites you to relax and enjoy the tranquility. Savor breakfast in the garden, sip our homemade limoncello in the shade, or take a relaxing nap in the hammock. We hope Villa Michalis can become your home away from home here in Greece, where we will treat you like the valued guest you are!

The house had been empty for years, having once served as an old bar and club, and the locals of Kokari still remember those days. Seven years ago, Michael took over the abandoned property and, with his passion and dedication, created a space that now has a soul. An avid traveler himself, Michael infused his fascination with new cultures into this place. Each room has its unique personality, showcasing influences from his adopted homeland, Greece, as well as Nepal and India, two of his favorite places that he likes to visit. Every corner of the property reflects his passion and love for what he does – from the authentic elements in the interior to the garden fountains where water sings its melody on sunny days. Each year, Michael invites volunteers from around the world to help him and bring fresh ideas. The result is a charming blend of their work, dedication, and diverse perspectives. Michael's ultimate goal is to create a place that is filled with smiles and good vibes.

Farm to Table

At our place, we embrace the sustainable way of living by offering the finest local ingredients. By collaborating with local farmers, we ensure that all our products are fresh and organic, thus supporting our community.

Kokkari is a beautiful place—a cozy village, with wooden fishing boats and traditional white houses, draped in bougainvillea flowers, just like those picturesque postcards from Greece. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay, from car rentals to small local stores and cozy bars. Even if you don't feel like venturing out for the day, there’s plenty to keep you entertained in the village.

Animals

At our property, you'll find chickens, geese, turkeys, and three lovely dogs. These charming animals add to the unique, homely atmosphere and are a beloved part of our sustainable living approach.
